Click for larger picture | Bulova Lined Case This moderately sized Bulova has a wonder case with molded horizontal lines on the bezel and the sides. The dial has vertical scalloped lines with black numerals and pyramid markers. The 10K gold filled case is in great shape. The amazing thing is that I found TWO of these that are identical. The modest size would make this a nice watch for a gent or a lady--or both? $280.00

Click for larger picture | Hamilton "Cranston" Because of the sharpness of these wild lugs, these are usually found with wear at the points. This one has no wear to the 10K gold filled case. The original dial is nicely aged to a champagne color and has only minor spotting. The back is not engraved. $325.00

Click for larger picture | Elgin Scalloped Bezel The condition of the gold filled case with a stainless steel back is very nice. There are a few scratches on the back from inept opening attempts, but they do nothing to detract from this fancy bezel. The dial appears to have been redone, most certainly true to the original. I would guess that this style was from the early 50's. $270.00

Click for larger picture | Hamilton "Endicott" At only 26mm in diameter (just over and inch), this watch is smallish and probably more suited for a lady even though it was sold as a man's watch. The gold filled case is in nice shape, and I just love the original dial. There are tiny points of wear on a couple of the lugs that can be seen with magnification. $235.00

Click for larger picture | Hamilton "Gilbert" Introduced in 1941, the Gilbert is as sleek and modern as any watch made today--and this one is a beauty. The 14K yellow solid gold case is immaculate, and the original dial is aged a little, and very nice. The 980 movement ticks great. It is inscribed with a name and dated Dec. 17-41..what a great Christmas present! $475.00 SOLD

Click for larger picture | Hamilton "GS Tropical" Also known as the 6BB, the GS ["General Service"] watches were specifically made for the UK's General Services. They were actually issued to Government personnel that were not Military. These watches were used by a number of Government agencies overseas, Foreign and Commonwealth Office aid groups helping with education and health stuff like that from the mid 60's to the late 70's. They also acted as a cover for a number of former military men who helped nations organise their own security and law enforcement on behalf of HM Government.
The G.S. Tropical seems to have been a specially sealed series of watches for use in tropical climates. They are marked "Tropical" on the stainless steel case back, These are rarer than the standard G.S. watches. The case and movement appear to be the same for both watches. The Tropical does not have the broadarrow found on military watches of Great Britain. The case is 36mm in diameter and in good condition except for some shallow scratches from a bad case opening attempt. Please note that the dial luminous has been amateurishly overpainted most likely to restore the luminocity. This is a very difficult one to find and the heavy case has a great feel. $745.00

Click for larger picture | Hamilton "Robert" The Robert is a rare Hamilton watch. It is very unusual in the design of the 14K solid gold case with the wild lugs top and botton. The black dial is original and shows very little aging. If you really love this one, check out the ladies "Roberta" on the Ladies page. It is identical except for the size, and would make a wonderful dual purchase for Christmas or Valentines day. $875.00
